PHCS is the largest proprietary PPO in the country with nationwide access.
Providers must pass strict credentialing criteria.

PHCS is the first and only national PPO to earn four endorsements of quality from two independent, nationally recognized quality assurance organizations, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and URAC.

Members receive an identification card and “Dear Doctor” letter in the fulfillment kit. Members may optionally call CAREINGTON’s Physician Relations Department where a live operator will provide a list of providers, verify participation of those providers, and schedule an appointment for the member. The live operator feature with the PHCS option ensures that the member’s experience is a positive one with very little room for error or confusion on either the member’s or the doctor’s part at the time of service.
How Does it Work?
1. Members call the Physician Relations Department located on the back of the Identification Card and request an appointment with their selected Physician from our list of providers.
2. The Physician Relations Specialist (PRS) will verify the Physician’s enrollment and call their office to make an appointment for the member.
3. Member displays membership card upon arrival to the office to receive the discount. Remember that you are responsible for paying the provider the entire discounted fee at the time of service is provided. (financial arrangements may be made depending on your provider's terms and agreements)

4.Plan members are obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those healthcare providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization.
